Description: Upright oval, flat. Shape 8–9. Yellowish brown jasper. Set in a modern gold mount with a revolving bezel.
Purchased in 1807 through Agnello, from Egypt.

A: Scorpion seen from above, head to top. Between the claws, an eight-pointed star, on the tail a crescent.
B: Greek inscription in two lines: αεηι|ουω → the Greek vowel series.
