Description: Upright oval, slightly convex. Green jasper with red spots (heliotrope). Mounted in an ancient gold ring. From Yakhmour (Syria).

A: Cock-headed Anguipes wearing an armour, holding a whip in his right hand and a round shield in his left hand. Inscription below: ιαω → Ἰάω. Around the shield: ταφωναοντα →  τὰ φωνάοντα 'the vowels.'
