A: Frontal view of a cock-headed Anguipes, head to right. The god wears armour. Right arm raised high and holding a whip, left arm hidden behind a shield. Vertical inscription in the shield: ιαω → Ἰάω. Around the shield: αεηιουω → the Greek vowel series. Below the snake-leg (following Southesk 1908): ιαωαοαωαι → ιαωαι-palindrome. Beginning next to the right elbow and running along the arm and the whip (following Southesk 1908): μαρμαραουωθα<βρ>ασαξ → Μαρμαραουώθ, Ἀβρασάξ.
