A: Composite image of Harpocrates and baboon (Thoth). Harpocrates sits to right, with right hand raised to mouth, left not shown, head crowned with a disk, side-lock of youth visible. The trunks of Harpocrates and the baboon are joined, the baboon is shown upside down in relation to Harpocrates. The baboon is shown in profile, to left, both arms raised in greeting, and acting as the legs of Harpocrates. The flail of Harpocrates is also the tail of the baboon, who is crowned with the disk of the full moon.
