Description: A upright oval, B transverse oval, both sides flat. Shape 8–9. Green jasper. Obverse chipped on the lower right edge.
From Asia Minor, purchased by Van Lennep.
A: Frontal view of a cock-headed Anguipes in armour, head to left. Right arm raised and bent in elbow, holding a whip (?), left hand hid behind an oval shield with a vertical inscription: ιαω → Ἰάω. B: Greek inscription in one line in mirror writing: σαβαω → variant of Σαβαώθ, followed by characteres.
